Fujitsu Partners with Constraint Technologies to Deliver the best-in-class IT Solutions for Airline Fleet and Crew Management

HONG KONG and MELBOURNE, 17 August 2006 - Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited, a leading provider of customer-focused information technology and telecommunications solutions and services, and Constraint Technologies (CTI) today announced a new partnership for IT solutions for airline fleet and crew management. Fujitsu will provide software, project implementation, customer support and customization services and CTI will provide optimization technology for planning and operations control including crew pairing and rostering, schedule optimization, operations control and schedule recovery.

Fujitsu have an enviable track record in delivering systems that have improved the ability of airlines to schedule and control their aircrew and aircraft resources. Since the early 90's, Fujitsu has been delivering and supporting resource management solutions to airlines and airports in Asia. Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, EVA Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Asiana are amongst the airlines that benefited from solutions supplied by Fujitsu to support planning and control processes in their Flight Operations.

Fujitsu and CTI will work closely together to help existing customers understand the benefits and then take advantage of an upgrade path based on CTI optimization technology. This approach will allow the customer to migrate from their current application to a state-of-the-art standardised solution at a lower cost and risk, and in shorter time than wholesale replacement.

CTI technology is proven for tier 1 airline customers, yet flexible and scalable to support a standard solution for airlines of any size and complexity. Benchmark studies on existing Fujitsu customers have already shown that significant business benefits are attainable that would justify an immediate upgrade.
